A New Zealand based team for New Zealand riders and friends who want to be social or race and enjoy the competition but also create lasting friendships with like minded individuals.
Men and women of all ages are welcome, we currently have teams and events for social to elite riders. 
We race almost every day of the week across different platforms and grades. 

Our largest event is the weekly TTT held on a Thursday night or Friday morning with 80-120 riders jumping in each week.

Our goal is to have people getting fit while enjoying the social aspect of online riding or racing as part of a team. We have new riders to Olympic medalists & NZ champions so whatever level you are we'll find a team to suit your current fitness levels. 

We especially love the social side of things and are pretty chilled and relaxed so if you just wanna do group rides only and enjoy the community feel then that’s perfect. We do meet up in real life as well for events which makes them a lot more enjoyable having a few more people to chat with so you don't feel so isolated.  

We have a code of conduct in place which all riders will abide by and part of being in our team is ensuring fair and clean racing at all times.

NZBRO was established in August 2021 with three riders from Ashburton myself, Michael Templeton & Kyle Gray having a chat over a few cold ones......chat's via text kept the ball rolling and a team name was then established. I then decided to start a team on Zwift power and we went from our initial 8 local riders to around 45 riders in six weeks. Our initial name was NZ Esports Racing Team but after nine months I started to get enquires from actual gamers asking to join so there was confusion as to the type of esports we do so I shortened the name to NZBRO. This was at first just a slang term for brother which is quite commonly used here in Aotearoa as a greeting, "like Hey Bro" It also looked perfect online as a team tag. 

After we started to represent racing on Premiere League with the live broadcast we started to gain some good coverage and in commentary Dave Towle created the acronym New Zealanders Bike Racing Online and here we are now using this as part of our name. 

We now have over 650 members and close to 400 active racers in the team, simply put none of this would be possible without the dedication and help from our captains & management team so a huge Thank you from me to those who step up to the plate and make it all happen so others can enjoy it stress free.
